If you want to change your habits
Habits are like a cosy bed; easy to get into and hard to get out of.
I’m sure you’ve got a habit that you want to get rid of or change.
Our habits are learned conditioned beliefs in our minds.
What we need to do to change them is:
Learn, unlearn, relearn
I’m sure you’ve heard it takes 21-90 days to embed a new habit.
Most people make big goals to change, but because it’s such a huge change they make it a low priority and say to themselves that they’ll do it tomorrow. But they keep putting it off!
If you want to change anything in your life you have to make small steps and give them a big priority.
Here are 3 small simple steps to help you change your habits:
1. Awareness - see the trigger for the bad habit. Why, where, and how the bad habit is being created.
2. Environment - make small changes to encourage you. Buy healthy food, have the yoga mat or weights on the floor. Make it easier for your brain to start that activity.
3. Positive substitutes for your needs. Write a list of all the positive substitutes for every habit and your need attached to it.
I hope you can start to change your bad habits.
